SAFC with big injectors, Anyone doing this anymore?

I assume its a flaw in the electronics of the translator. The signal will drop totally for a very short duration, I think even less time than some sample rates of certain loggers, but I'll find out. What basically happens then is you have stupid A/F spikes. You might have the car tuned for 11.7 a/f across the board then you have these spikes up to 13.7 a/f from the MAFT signal f'in up. This causes major havoc in the combustion chamber as you can imagine. I'll see what I can do for you in terms of that log.
HOLY HE!! that would suck if you're say running 30 psi or even just to the ragged with the tune. 11.5:1 or so can let many get a way with alot of timing. A quick spike to near stoich would eat stuff!

So this is mostlikely a translator issue and obviously random enough in the rev range no to be tuned out. I hope DSMLink v3 comes out soon enough...

I couldn't get the log cause it was just a pic of the AFC's airflow signal that I saw. But yeah the signal drops off for a split second, and the log of the A/F showed a major lean spike. I'm sure the timing jumped retarded high as well but the spike was so fast that its out of the resolution of the logger. I'm goin to fullthrottletech now to read up on it some more, cause its starting to worry me a little. The log I saw was a car running 30psi, the HG didn't respond too well.

That's fine. Please keep researching... I will be too. I am starting a new thread in this forum discussing this too. Maybe we can get some answers.

I run 780's w/a safc on a chipped ecu with a evo8 maf. Runs fine have had no issues. I make about 450hp with it.
