ok Guys here are my mods....Greddy type-rs, 3'' turbo back, intake, safcII. I just got the safc II and now my car back fires alot when I take off and its running like crap. What are the settings I need to put it on in order for it to run just like stock again. Im on stock injectors and stock fuel pump. Thanks tuners!!!

Check out this link for general information on how to set up and AFC for a DSM.
RRE tech page

And your fuel curve should be set at 0% for all RPM ranges.

It says on the link you gave me to put it at 50% at 1k for low throttle with stock injectors. I have it all set to zero I just wanted to know what I should do for stock injectors and fuel pump and 14psi, what throttle point I should have it at. I started at low 30% hi 80%.

Ok, there are two setting groups on the afc. One is throttle point, the other is air correction (which is what fools the ECU into adding more or less fuel).

Set the corrections to 0% on both the HI and LOW ranges. Set the throttle points to 30Low/80Hi and you'll be right until you upgrade your injectors and pump to take advantage of the light show you just installed :)

As others have said, your AFC should be zeroed out on stock injectors and pump. I wouldn't even worry about hooking it up until you start upgrading your fuel system. It's just going to be there for decoration at this point since it won't be doing anything.

+1 I would hook it all up and then just unplug it until you are ready to start tuning then plug it in and start up before you start tuning. You should also get a logger and a wideband so you know exactly what the car is doing at any given time you dont want to blow it up before you can upgrade.

ok well before you guys start flaming my fuel pump should be here next week and I had to buy new o-rings for my 650's so I wont be running a lonely afc for long. Thanks for the input guys.

If its still running like crap make sure that the pink and orange wires are on right. But if not then whatever good luck:dsm:

Not to jack his thread but I just upgraded to 190 lph.

I have a 14b
2 1/2" tbe
icp
fuel pump rewire
datalogger
k&n air filter
alum. intake

What should my settings be on my safc2?

But you just did.

They should be just like what was suggested to the OP. As long a you are at stock boost levels, and until you have larger injectors, the new pump isn't going to do much. If you have an mbc, and can increase your boost, then do so slowly, monitor your timing with your logger, and make adjustments accordingly with your afc. But there's not going to be much room to play with those stock injectors...maybe + or - 5%.

well it seems like now when ever I punch it, it backfires and pops until about 4000 rpms. Is that because of too much fuel or not enough? Another thing, that link above said to put 800rpms at 50% with the same mods I have. Is that accurate?

EVERY CAR IS DIFFERENT(.)

It Is not practicle to say what works for one person will work for another, even if both cars have the same mods. The link to the RRE safc page also lists that those are the settings for a MAF that has had its side and lower honeycombs removed. that is why there is a huge correction value.
And thats another thing> You shouldn't go takeing honeycombs out of your MAF to make it run leaner. you will only cause more problems.

I would say don't mess with it till you have something to mess with.

On a further note,
Do not do the "blue wire mod" either.

There have been some users that have experienced an ultra-lean condition due to the SAFC sending a pulse the wrong way on the blue wire causeing a misreading of the true O2 sensor signal... before it gets to the ECU. This is not a good thing.
