this is the 1st time I've taken the talon out of the city. I'm on the hiway and the talon starts to overheat about every 50 miles to the (t). I keep filling up with water and I watch the gauge and at 50 miles it overheats. I have the thermostat out now. There are small leaks when I stop. My oil is clean, but in thinking head gasket is bad. Any ideas? I have a talon tsi 1995. The boost is turned down. Got about 300 miles to go. Maybe fix a leak? Radiator powder stuff? Please help. I'm just glad I have my I phone!!! LOL

Same problem I had with my 99 GST. It was my head gasket. My car started pushing coolant out of the overflow. I always thought that if it was the head gasket, that I would see coolant in the oil but it never happened. I had a very small break in the head gasket and even though there was no water in the oil, I finally saw small traces of oil in the coolant. Its actually good that it happened that way. Coolant in the oil is much worse because it will cause you to spin a bearing. Change your head gasket and have the head pressure checked and shaved and you should be good to go! Good luck!!

it could be a few things.. you have to trace somthings know.. if your lossing coolant make sure your not leaking... ecp. from the water pump.. do not put stop leak if you have a turbo!!!!!! that is not a good move! take off your coolant cap and make sure there is no oil in it. and also check on the timing belt side if there is a leak or your water pump is making and unuasl souds. then check for compression. if its not going over 180 its the head gaskit. make sure coil is not hooked up. if you need more info post somthing..

ohh yea.. dont use water on a turbo motor! and do not drive far on a bad head gaskit....., your damage the head and keep your heat on high!
