Still have the heatshield for the exhaust mani or you took it off?? Some people have reported fans melting when taking it off.

Your car will obviously run hot due to the turbo, so the dipstick being hot to the touch is normal. I've burned myself a few times on that guy. Usually just use a rag or something to pull it out. As far as the fans, I'm with the other guy. If your heat shield is off, you'll definetly be melting shit.

ok alittle off the topic now!
im trying to find a stock rear bumper and stock side skirts. wheres the best place to look? i looked at classifieds but couldnt find much.
some say 95-96 bumpers but will those fit my 2g spyder??

If you have any doubt as to whether you are hot or not, get a no contact infrared pyrometer. This will make sure you are not overheating. Shoot at the thermostat housing. If your hand held is reading the same as your gauges, and it's not hot, you are ok. However, I trust my handheld much more than I trust gauges.

Good Luck

If you do not have the heatshield on you will easily burn yourself on the dipstick. But the pyrometer would be a good idea if you think it's hotter than it should be.

I totally agree!! Are you letting the car cool down before you Kill-It? Do you have a turbo timer? I would invest in one or let it cool down for a minute or so! Not letting a "forced inductioned" car cool down before killing it! Could lead to some serious problems!!
