Ok I have a 94 Talon with the whimpy lil 1.8L engine. I bought the car off a friend about 3 months ago. The car hasnt driven in ###### 4 to 6 yrs before I bought it. It has 135,000 +/- miles on it. The car was driving good when I first got it for sitting up for so long, but about 4 to 5 days ago it overheated and the needle pegged out at the H, the main fan wasnt running at all. So my brother-in-law, who is a wire chaser in the Air Force, came over and helped me figure out what was wrong. Now for some reason there must be a wired missed wired ### I can turn my fan/ A/C on with out the keys in the ignition. Well when I turned the A/C on both fans came on so I know the motor isnt dead. So we jumped the connector that plugs into the Coolant Fan Switch and it came on, so we replaced the switch(mounts in bottom of radiator), problem solved. Well, then 2 days later the Altenator died while I was going home, the car over heated again just before the car died on me. So I replaced the altenator then I refilled the radiator. Now 1 day later everything seems to be fine, but the car still runs on the hot side of normal, the needle sits just below the dash mark of the high end of normal, and some of my coolant is being push out of the over flow on to the ground. WHAT could be causeing it to still run on the hot side, I know my fans are runnin ### I can hear them plus when I shut the motor off you can hear it run. I havent replace the thermostat yet, could that be a part of the problem? I also know my water pump seems to be ok for now ### its not leaking. I live in Nevada so should I run a stronger coolant mixture like maybe 60 or 70% coolant and rest water? Somebody please help, this is my 1st DSM and I really love the car and have big plans for it. I just cant figure this out. I plan the replace the thermostat and radiator cap on payday I just hope it helps. :banghead:

Also buy a new Rad(eBay aluminum is like $100) and drop some new fans in there as well. When you do the new fans just run a new relay and things should then work fine. The problem you are having is defiantly a wiring issue.

Ok time for an update. Ended up replacing the water pump, thermostat, radiator cap, and fancontrol switch. Still ran hot. Ended up haveing to replace the radiator itself. All good now.LOL
