I think i know the problem. Not to sure. Just did a flush. Fixed the wiring for the temp for the gauge. And for the computer. But it only runs hot like everyother day. I just felt my hose that goes from the radiator to the threm housing. And i could hardly squueze it. Could it be that the thermostat isnt opening?

STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING WITH THE NAME DURALAST!!!!!!. LOL With that said. I havent had anyproblems with the cheaper T.Stats. Its really just a user choise.

any t stat from autozone or orileys is going to be motorad brand so it dont matter, go to the dealership and order a mitsubishi t stat it is like 15 dollars.

I'm having almost the same problem. It only gets hot though if I've been driving around for at least a half hour and if I'm in stop and go traffic, if I turn on the AC it cools down though like Leonthefaded suggested. So should I just check my cooling fans and get a thermostat to be on the safe side?

I would def check the t stat and see what kind of condition it is in, any kind of burns or metal degradation is a big red flag to replace . They are cheap so you should do it immediately.

I would also check the engine temp sensor as well because if a t stat housing leaks on it it could cause miss readings to your gauge:cool:

Thanks for the tip! Much appreciated. :D

Are both fans running when it is this hot? They should be.

How bad was your cooling system before you flushed it?

Your recent flush and the behavior makes the radiator suspect. A chemical flush can loosen scale and rust and send it right to the radiator where it clogs it up intermittently. You can pull the fans and the radiator and run water into the top end. If a bunch of rusty bits come flowing out, that's probably your culprit. If this is the problem, you'll probably need a new radiator or get it cored. (New one was hardly more than the cost of coring). I had the same experience and after removing and flushing radiator over 10 times, it continued to have scale in it and overheat.
