For the past two days my car has been running a little warmer than usual. The needle used to stay about midways on the gauge, but now is creeping up to the end of the little white sail thing and staying there, not going higher or lower. My fans are running fine and my coolant isnt boiling, so I am thinking my thermostat has crapped out on me. Am I right on this assumption or do yall have any other ideas or suggestions. Thanx.

that would be my first guess.. if that doesnt work change your coolant..still no go id check the water pump...

get a new thermo, about 30 bux from mitsu, drain coolant down a little, install and refill coolant.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont buy an autozone thermo, they dont have the whole in it and the autozone "OEM" version is a lot longer then the real deal, Ive never had anything but problems with aftermarket thermostats.

Yeah I am going to get a new thermostat from the dealer today and I was wondering if there was a certain torque spec for the bolts on the thermostat housing. I dont want to leave it too loose but then again dont want to break the housing either.
