Still having rpm issue. Timing is good and ecu caps look good, what else could it be? Won't rev over 6 and revs really slow when driving no excelliratipng after 3 grand in 4th and 5th gear. I'm thinking time for new motor.

Only 5psi and only leaks I have found are at the injectors. My dipstick keeps blowing out also.

are u sure its making boost or are u looking at the stock cluster and reading off of that? do a compression test yet? oil and coolant look ok and not mixed? Got a mouse nest in your intake or exhaust? Turbo could be locked up and making it a turd also... replaced a turbo on a girls talon that was locked up.... man that thing was a turd when it was locked up ....just some ideas

Diff turbo on it, oil and coolent arnt mixed. Only number 2 is low on compression 130 on all others and 115 on number 2. Im just compleatly lost on it.

O and its an automeeter boost gauge stock one doesnt work.

Fix all boost leaks!!!! But like ^^ said, those can be contributes also.. In my case, I had a clogged cat. Wouldnt boost over 2psi on e316 and 7 on t25

Why does the stock one not work? Mass air flow problems? Can be part of your problem

Maf? Their isn't a check engine light thougj. Also cat is cut out, a strait pipe in its place.

Is the car basically all stock or does it have a 2nd gen maf in it or anything like that? Give a mod list and what has been done to it recently to give an idea of might of went wrong.....

Check engine grounds?

All stock except for a t25 turbo cause the 14b was bad. Aftermarket boost and oil pressure gages. Checked timing, computer caps, boost leaks and all bolts. No cat it was taken out befor I got it andall vacume lines where taken off except the wg bov and fpr. No cel light on so no codes set.

Just because there is a light for it doesn't mean that it will throw a code automatically

That leads me to think there is a bigger boost leak.

still has the internal waste gate on the t25 and its all in good shape?
waste gate rod all bent holding the waste gate open?
exhaust manifold to turbo gasket good?
bov stuck open?

You need to pressurize the system to check for boost leaks. Are u doing that? You can do it by just letting your car run and spraying stuff with soapy water. Its a lot different than looking for a leak on a tire.

1g inter-coolers like to get pin holes in them also...

Yes fix your injector seals!

Pin holes. I did pressurize the system and did the soapy water. Ill fix the injector seals and seeabout the inter cooler.

Do a search on proper BLT and see what you come up with not to say that you are doing it wrong, but just to check. Pressurize the system to 20psi and spray EVERYTHING that has to do with vaccum. EVERYTHING!. Bov, injectors, egr,egr solenoid, all intercooler piping, intercooler, tb, biss screw, you get the idea.

Hope that was it, and that you're problem is solved now
So you can continue driving!
Keep us posted!

Just replaced the injector seals, man old ones wher hard and the rail wasnt even seated right. Shold I boost leak test or just drive it to see if its better?

Chances are you fixed the injector leak. When I replaced mine the old ones were hard to. It was horrible. I would do another test and see if that leak was covering up any other ones. Since you are already there.

Good news is my car feels like a new car. That fixed my surging idle and rough idle when it did LOL. I was also able to rev it to 6500 now. I still have a boost leak didnt have time to leak test tuesday and snowed in wed. I'm gona test today. Wish me luck guys finally getting someone elses mess cleand up.

See, its amazing how far a teeny tiny boost leak can go. Good luck with the other boost leaks. I had my car parked for 3 days doing nothing but some boost leak testing/diagnosis.

Boost leaks: Hate having them, love finding them!

Is it common for the o-rings on the injectors to wear out? I just brought home my first DSM, and it feels like it's making good power (11 psi max in 3rd-5th gears) - but at about 5,000rpms it just dies out, loses it's pep. Seems like the injectors are positioned where it would be pretty easy to get at em (I come from WRX's/STi's where getting to the injectors is a B*TCH).

Is this some maintenance worth doing? Or a waste of time if I'm making good boost?

Yes, it is common. Mine had the same problem. I would fix the o-ring. It doesn't take that lond and is not hard to do at all. I have done it twice. You are making alright power. But you could be making more with those injectors sealed up. You wont be able to until they do. It's not a waste of time to do maintenance on your car.
