rev to 9k?

What all mods do I need to rev to 9k safely?
Im going to get bc 280/280 cams. Also springs and retainers.
What else?

Hks272's on good stock springs with a HY35 on a cheapie bottom end will go 9k all the time and live to tell about it for a long time. Valve never showed any sign that they were bouncing. With my homemade SMIM, it made enough power up there to warrant shifting it up there too.

Not to thread jack, but I'm just curious what a 4g64 can rev to. I plan to have forged pistons, more than likely stock valves with upgraded springs and 272 cams, and ###### start out with either a 16g or a hx35. I'm just curious because it was a truck motor (even though I hear the crank and rods are the same) and I have heard they can run out to about 8k built (though I'm not looking to hurt the motor by over revving it).

Sure, but ve drops tremendously on a 2.4 past 7500 rpms, so why bother. A 2.4 is a torque monster, so use it as such

I was not actually planning on running it to 8k, I was just using that for reference because thats what I have heard. I was just wondering what a safe redline would be. I'm fine with 7500 or even 7k.
