Ok, just got back from about 15 miles worth of test driving. She drives really great, but has lingering issues. First off, she's running really hot, but the tep gauge reads normal. I did replace the temp sensor before removing the engine, but not the temp gauge sensor. That one worked just fine before. My lower radiator hose is finally running hot, unlike before. I ordered a Mushimoto aluminum radiator last night anyway. There was white smoke coming from the exhaust from start up all the way to maybe the first mile, haven't seen that smoke since, probably risidual crap burning off. After the first few miles, I pulled over to investigate a weird sound, I'll get to that in a moment. The turbo area was smoking a lot, but it too has since gone away. I'm not convinced that it's burning residual crap from there. The weird noise, sounded like the driver side brake rotor rubbibg the caliper like it was loose, but I never removed the rotor from that side, and the noise doesn't go away when the brakes are pressed. It seems to grow louder with higher engine speed, and decreases when slowing down to about 40mph, then just stays consistent. Other than that, she runs and handles really well.

The smoking manifold is pretty normal so long as it goes away after the first few drives. You would be surprised how much grease and whatnot you get on it when pulling the engine. The white smoke could also be some residue burning out of the pipes, but it would be gone in just a few minutes and never come back. If it's persistent, you have coolant burning somewhere. The brake noise could be one of two things. The dust shield like Herron said, or a bad wheel bearing.

I plan on replaceing all wheel bearings soon, but I never had that noise before taking the engine out. I'll still check it out tomorrow though, Just to be safe.

Will definately be keeping an eye on the smoking. It has gone away, but don't know if it'll come back or not.
