so i have my 94 gsx and i dont know if it has a 6 bolt in it or a 7 bolt, the engine is dead and i plan to swap out for another, but my question(s) is if it is a 7 bolt can i swap a 6 bolt onto my transmission? if so do i need a 6 bolt flywheel? or does anyone know how to tell if its a 6 bolt, im hoping my car has a 6 bolt in it already because the motor i am going to buy is a 6 bolt. so does anyone know anything here? i need help trying to get my car back soon. i just need to know if i need to go get the flywheel the guy gave me resurfaced or if i can just use the flywheel i have.? thanks everyone

Lets see... time to spoon feed...

....is if it is a 7 bolt can i swap a 6 bolt onto my transmission?

Yes

....if so do i need a 6 bolt flywheel?....
Yes

....or does anyone know how to tell if its a 6 bolt, im hoping my car has a 6 bolt in it already because the motor i am going to buy is a 6 bolt. ....

It should be a 7 bolt because its a 94 but thats incase it wasnt swapped before in the past...

....so does anyone know anything here? ....

Yes... a simple search would have shown you that ;)...

an easy way to tell if its 6 bolt or 7 bolt is the size of the oil filter. the 6 bolt has a fatter stubbier oil filter, or at least on my two cars, whereas the one on the 7 bolt is smaller in diameter and longer. but that's only if the motor has been swapped sometime in its life. if it hasn't, then its a 7 bolt like DSM PWR said
