Resetting ECU

Is there a way to reset the ECU without removing the Battery terminal clamps. Im thinking fuse but which one?

don't quote me on this but you could probably reach back under the console and just unplug the wires from the ecu...

wich probably is pretty hard, plus you dont have much space under the center console to just reach in and unplug the ECU, I belive that the easiest way is to pop up your hood, disconnect the negative for around a minute, and connect back... I dont think there a fuse to cut the voltage out of the ecu...

settings on what?if you're talking afc or something just hook that up directly to the battery, and don't worry about it, you'd just have to run 2 wires from the battery to the afc for like 2 mintues...

In that case, you'll have to remove the side covers from the center console, right under the shifter, unscrew the ECU, and unplugg the harness for a little while... it takes a good 10 mins if you done this before, but its not that hard if you haven't, and you won't be messing with stereo, alarm or anything else...

ummmm no. Here is what you do. Go to the fuse box in the car. The one on the left hand side of the driver side floor. Pull the bottom right fuse. Leave it out for a few minutes. Put it back in. Viola. ECU is reset and your stereo doesnt lose it settings.

if you leave your battery unplugged for over 1/2 hour. that will do it for sure too. because i had my battery out while i was doing my motor mounts, and now the CEL isnt on and the car runs kinda like ass. i hope that goes away when the ECU catches back up.

It should run better, the ECU has to "relearn" a little bit. I don't know if sayajins method works for 2Gs but I think the best way to do it without unhooking the battery is ivanr4g63's method (unhooking the ECU).

Ahh, sorry im not sure if it works for 2G's. I wasnt thinking about that at first...
