I'm trying to put my compressor housing back on my Big 16g, but the housing doesn't seem to want to go on far enough to accomodate for the snap ring to fit into the groove. Is there a special way I should be doing this?

1. clean the groove/recess.
2. LIGHTLY TAP with RUBBER mallet to "pop" it into place.
