What brand tool name do you guys use to get that stupid o ring to stick the hks bov to the flange. I bought two snap ring pliers and for the life of me can not get the o ring into the flange.
Stupid me, bought OEM tool from autozone, and changeable one from napa. I learn my lesson. No more interchangeable pliers. I got angry and trash both of em. With that money I could of gotten a decent one:ohdamn:. Lesson learned.

in the uk i either use facom or sealey

I went down the same path, picked up a pai of snap rings pliers form homedepot, it had many tip options, none of them worked. Went to harbor freight, tried out their snap ring. Didnt like how it functioned.

Learned a trick from Justin Whitesell:

Buy some needle nose pliers, a pair that are large or small enough for the application, and grind/file/dremel(I know its a noun not a verb), and mod the tips to fit.

Snap rings come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and sometime its hard to find a pair that work. I have done this twice, once with the HKS snap ring and MHI turbo compressor cover snap rings.

This works great. The adjustable ones never stay put.

ive yet to break a pair of them and i am always taking turbos apart and anything with the C/snap clips

I've never had and experience with this bov you guys are talking about. But when I have trouble with snap rings I just grab a flathead and start at one end and work it out by traveling around the edge.
