piston ring for hks forgies

i'm getting all the parts bolted up and i am stuck at what piston rings should i use for my hks forged pistons. the pistons are used items and the rings that came with it dont look too good so anyhow i need to get them replaced , but what should i look for , can i just use any piston ring,? the local replacements are from NPR and RIK, two of the brands that we get a lot here. i just need rings that can take a beating and lots of boost from the build that i'm currently on now. any advice?

The rings you got with those pistons originaly should be strong enough, have you tried finding the same to replace them with?

well since they're used items i really dont know the mileage on them so that was the main reason i decided to have them replaced. i've tried to locate substitute piston rings for the hks forgies but they seem to be very different and plus i wont know if it'll be proper or not to use conventional rings with forgies.

I honestly don't know about that, but if no one answere just give HKS a ring and ask.

Your best bet is to go with the HKS rings. They are specifically made for HKS pistons. I wouldn't trust stock replacement rings on an aftermarket piston.
