It's the spyder 4g64 engine FWD, manual. I replaced the alternator belt, but when I start it up, the driver side wheel spins. It is not in gear when it does this. I still have the driver side wheel off incase I need to adjust it. Is it spinning because the belt is too tight/loose? It has about a half inch give. Or is it because I just because I don't have the wheel on?

so i guess u have it jacked up?? not to sure what u mean. but is it spinning fast? or just kinda idling if its just idling then i wouldnt worry bout it. put it back on the ground and it wont move. but nothing to do with alternator.
