ive taken 8 bolts off including the starter bolts. but the back bottom of the engine doesnt seem to be prying off is there a certain way to remove it?

Did you remove the rear bellhousing bolt that goes through the block into the transmission?

I ran in to the same prob not to long ago...LOL yes you have to take it off to get the motor to pry free from the tranny

Yep, t-case needs to come off, the small bolt that Tim stated as well.. Then you have to make sure the torque converter stays inside the bell housing and doesnt come off the input shaft otherwise you will get VERY angry and have to take the trans out anyways.

I had my motor and trans pulled already last thursday but today I decided to take the trans off the motor and the TC stayed on the motor SMH had atf all over the place! I had to use two big pry bars to wiggle it back and forth for it to come out of the crank
