Remove AWD ABS

I have a 95 TSi. Is there going to be any ECU issues if I remove the ABS? It has never worked since I got the car. I'm tired of having the extra crap on the car and the light being on. Besides it is easily the best stopping car I've owned.

Everything I got from searching pertains to 1G. I won't have any problems with the physical aspects, so will the E-PROM ECU be OK?

I wouldnt think there would be a prob like you said the light is already glowing on the dash so im pretty sure that disables the whole system when a sensor or the fuse fails, my abs light is on and it has no abs so im pretty sure yours would be the same. so the ecu or other computers shouldnt have a prob but making the brakes work the same might be another story.

I'm sure I can handle the brakes. It was the ECU that I was worried about.

I got the car with the ABS SRS and cruise all not functioning. I'd like to get cruise back but I could care less about the bags and prefer to not have the ABS.
