Anyone have any experience with these guys? I really want to go with KarKing, seeing that they are a site sponser and all, but I want my car back... and I have no $$$, or not enough.

From my understanding all you need to swap in order to make a non-turbo block to a turbo block would be the pistons, oil squirters, and possibly the cams. This auction didn't say anything about it having a core exchange, so that would allow me to keep my old motor.

Does this sound like a good idea? (daily driver, goal: 300-350whp) I have my old 7bolt sitting in my friends garage. So I could use the pistons out of that motor. I would get a new set of DKS cams and rebuild the head. I would remove the bs's. And then continue with my modding: Wal. 255, afpr, injectors, link, wideband, evoIIIb16g, etc...

Or should I just be patient and continue waiting to save enough money for KarKings turbo 6bolt motor?

I dont know personally but I have heard that some people prefer the 6 bolt non-turbo and the lack of oil squirters due to them holding oil pressure fairly well. I'd look into it more but depending on where you are I could get you one for fairly cheap. A friend of a friend has a few spares in his garage that may need rebuilding but its a start. I think I might take him up on the offer myself.... hell 3 engines isn't too much... right?? *Kat*
