Rebuilding a nocking 7 bolt

My 95 GST (7 bolt) is knocking and I have a spare 96 engine. I would like to build one of them. Looking for around 500-600 horse power. My question is if I drop in a 2.3 stroker kit will it hold up to that much without crankwalking? Im open to suggestions.

Before you begin this project, do you realize what 600whp on a FWD will be like?

I'm with Justin on this one. For most people anything over 350-400 in a fwd is teh lulz.

2.4L GT35R 30psi or so...

He's now looking into bigger slicks (and more suspension work) because the thing spins through 3rd gear. You can tell by his MPH vs. ET. (10.82 @135mph)

Traction control would be your focus on a build like this, as well as a lot of seat time and driver skill. The Daytona above runs a LSD, with driveshaft shop axles. He's also running KONI's on it. He's now contemplating a coil-over setup.

Crankwalk should be the least of your worries if your trying to make that much power.

Love the video. Take a close look and see who wins the race. My point is, is when you need it and aint got it your singing a different song. I grew up around big power. I plan on coilovers, launch control, 10inch slicks, and a LSD. And based on the video, dude cant drive. Hes flat footing the throttle and dumping the clutch. Of course hes gonna spin. I can make mine spin through 3rd. Hes got a heavy foot. Check out the Ford Focus 500. It has near 500 stock and is fwd. This is my first DSM but not my first ride. If a GST cant handle that much then I need a different car.
