Well, today i took my intake and head off and found out i had bend valves and my number 1 piston rings wore really bad on my wall and messed it up. Just need an idea on what kind of piston should i get that will do good with high boost and will last as a daily driver. The piston that are in there now are 63dT and my turbo is a 20g. I haven't took the oil pan off to see what the crank is i think its a 6 bolt (not sure). & will i be able to reuse my head? or just replace the valves? I'm not looking to spend more than 500 to get this running again. Let me know will any ideas. Thanks.

If your replacing your pistons its highly inlikely your going to get it running for under $500. Depending on how bad it wore at the cylinder wall i'm guessing it got it pretty good from what you said, its going to have to be sleeved. my friend just had that done and it alone was $500 for the machine work and ballance the crank. The other thing you can do is just bore the cylinders out, its actually cheaper, but bore all of them not just one. It's going to end up being a complete rebuild so either find another block some where thats good or injoy the build of your dsm!

Sorry about giving you bad news, but with these cars there's no easy way out! LOL

no way you'll get it all done for <500. a set of pistons alone is at least 250, then you'll need the block bored/honed depending on wear, new gaskets, bearings etc. figure out if you want a strong motor that will last or just get something running and that will determine wether you should build it or get a used one.

What kind of rods, pistons and rings should i use? stock rods? and upgraded pistons and rings would that work?
I want a motor that will keep up with high boost pressure and still be a daily driver.
What should i bore my new block?
