hey guys, I think I am going to rebuild the the gsx motor to stock specs, stock piston, rings etc... my question is since I will have the motor out and torn apart, aside from typical rebuild, what parts and proceedures do I need to do or take care of when I pull motor out? what I mean is for example, when I do the timing belt, since motor will be out, I beleive I need to replace the water pump as well, now I just read in a thread that the oil pump should also be replaced as well.... is there other things I should know about that I have not thought of or read? when doing the timing belt is there other things that need to be replaced, other than balance shaft belt, pulleys, and idlers? is that all that needs to be done in a timing belt proceedure? is this proceedure easier to perform when motor is out, since I or my friend have never done time belt before, or do I need to take it to a mechanic. I am new to dsm's... as far as modding dsms, or even maintaining one. Reason I ask is all the work will be done by me and a buddy of mine who has been building his 200sx with his sr20det motor and such. he doesnt know that much about dsms either. thanks in advance for your info's.
