Alot of dsm say 420a is only for daily drive only. I have a extra 420a motor and I decide to put engine stand and rebuild it with good quaitly parts. im going to use this engine to race most honda out there. I bet ya still going to disgree with me not to rebuild that motor for race. :hmm:

I'm just kinda wondering why you're so set on beating Honda's? Is there some kind of vendetta there?Has they Honda group in your area done something to hurt your feeling? Or are you just referring to ricers in general? I think there is nothing wrong with Honda's as I've owned multiple, and senselessly bashing them is well...offensive and slighty childish. Granted when you think ricer, Honda is one of the first thing that comes to mind but I digress. I'm with most of the other guys. With K swaps becoming cheaper and easier to do whooping on Honda's isn't as easy as it may sound. You could probably build your 420a and beat the D series Honda's running around but that's like beating a crippled up a flight of stairs.. nothing to really brag about. Not trying to knock your idea but with the money you would invest in fully building your engine, you could get a turbo kit on low boost and make nearly double the power.

Lol, I'm just messing with you man :thumb:

Bottom end was from pick and pull all we did was pull it apart and look at the bearings and cleen carbon off pistions crank never came out. Head was ported by me had upgrade springs and retainers cams were delta other mods were obx intake and dc sports header. Tuneing was done with megasquirt. I would say less than 1500 you could do it all and most of that you would reuse if you went turbo.

Sounds nice:rocks:. What I and most people are trying to point out is for around the same amount of money he could piece together a decent turbo kit and make at least 200hp. But building the engine would be beneficial either way. Aslong as he doesn't raise the compression ratio up to much in which case he'd need to lower for turbo.

hey guys since my last post ive put pistons, gas pump with return line, 650cc Injectors, 50/63 turbo(T3/T4) with the full setup, megasquirt II, and a couple other things i mightve forgotten. I still need to change the clutch on it so that i can attempt to get to 300hp, but my question is, do i have to change the piston rods before attempting to reach the 300hp? theyre still the stock rods.
