I'm looking through threads for a definitive answer and could not find one.

I have a 1991 TSI AWD that needs new rear calipers. The one on it is rusted out and damaged beyond repair. Of course, these calipers are no longer available, but the 91 fwd calipers are.
Will the FWD rear calipers fit? If so, what would I need to make it work?

I already purchased new rotors and brake lines made for an AWD.

Thanks to anyone who can give me more info on this. I'm trying to get the car back on the road, as it's my daily driver.

I solved my rear brake situation by installing PBR brakes from 96 Corvette. I discovered those are as close to the offset to my rears. find a brake book and compare different brake applications from other cars. I'm sure something is close.

Awd only fits. Either got refurbish them your self. All parts are available to rebuild them.
Or got wait for reman ones from
John @performance Partout.
Or find a good used set when available
Ok, thank you for the feedback on this. I work at a shop, and the parts that I would need to rebuild them are no longer available. The only part available is the seal kit. Unfortunately, mine are so damaged that the piston will only screw onto the spindle a few turns 😒.

Thanks, I'll look into this. If anyone has more info on compatible brakes, let me know.
