I have seen that car listed on Cl for 2900. Obviously a scam, but nice non the less...

I stand corrected :coy:. But I find it amazing that that Mitsu actually produced Eclipses with TWO DIFFERENT 2.0 N/T engines!

Does anyone know how many of these cars were made?

Yeah I love when people from Europe go into the Tech forums and say they have a 2g 4g63 NT and everyone on here corrects them/flames them.

Not many were made. But they are pretty sweet.

It's kinda frustrating, but you get used to it. :)
I know that they were sold in Holland and in Begium not. Possibly in Germany too, but I am not sure.

Edit: I think the european version came with the NT 4G63 because it had a better fuel consumption or lower CO2 emissions. Could be, not sure and I never checked.

i have a 1996 with 88xxx original. has the grey interior, but blue carpets, leather, abs, no power driver seat, no keyless/security, no sunroof ugh.. LOL but it has the lighter blue color I will show some pics, is this a rare one by chance? I am changing it to targa tops this summer, got a guy that can reinforce the frame and everything for less than 2,000.

i worry though since he has done other targa tops before. there is some threads about difficulty. He said in a nutshell he would cut into the top and take some of the metal off than to reframe around the sides and tops to make it stronger, than custom cover it and than to put bars on the frame and to use a T top setup. measure and cut for glass and than remove when wanted. so its gonna be a T top but he said it would be like a targa. its gonna be like having to verticle sunroofs, except that they will be small to fit the curve. im not sure but I hope it works LOL.

If I recall correctly, it had something to do with the process of getting the engine (420A) tested for either fuel economy, emissions, or something. The N/T 4G63 were already tested in the 1gs, Galants, and various other cars around Europe (Like older Sonatas).

I hope he puts supports or a cage in before he does that. I cannot see this ending well.

Nope it was my car that was listed on Craigslist and was being scammed.

i think i have power for everything. (seats, sunroof, mirrors, windows, keyless entry, etc) idk if that is rare. also white with grey interior (leather seats)
 
Yea,who has a matching numbers DSM? Car still having ITS original engine,trans,t-case,rear end and body panels...??? This will thin the heard..

I've got one of those. Unfortunatly I am gonna have to replace the front bumper and driver side fender. Front bumper has broken clips and the fender suffered from door sag.

I have a completely bone stock, never been modified garage, never wrecked, never painted 99 GSX. Black dash, black leather, white/silver gauges. 80k miles, only thing that has been done was the timing belt at an authorized mitsu dealer. Oh yeah and I just replaced the driver door handle, but had it replaced with OEM, and color matched to firewall code. I don't think an aftermarket stereo counts as I didn't cut wires or anything and still using the factory amp (I did keep the stock radio though).
I think my DSM fits into rare just ### it has the factory airbox with a paper filter in it! Factory exhaust as well.:hellyeah: Stock exhaust too, don't see to many of those around without loud can's on them.:ohdamn:
 
one of my buddies bought an 89 eagle talon tsi awd, factory stock.

it was in junk condition but the label said june of 89. thats the first 89 ive ever seen and probably the last haha!!

does anyone still have the factory owners manual for their cars? i have both of mine for my 91 talon and my 93 eclipse. i even still have the dealership warentee books. and one factory stereo.

this is rare too. my 91 talon's valve cover has never even been off the car. im the third owner. i bought it with 110k. factory head gasket. basicly my motor is completely stock. factory paint with no sun fades. original panels and bumpers. matching numbers. even the factory manual trans. and rear end. and all factory interior with no rips, stains, fades, nottin!! 8D

I have the manual, and original window sticker.
 
My talon I bought. Matching numbers original everything 2nd owner 86,000 miles unmodified. Woman owned no accidents 92.5 with 6 bolt and 4 bolt rear I know the difference in the 7 and 6 bolt I made sure. I WIN!:hellyeah:
 
Ofcourse I'm right, I own the car :) Even in the cars original papers it's a GSI.

Yeah I back him up. Only I think mine was labeled GS and I had the all red euro tail lights.



I think I still own a pretty rare dsm, even thought I have built it myself. It is an euro-spec GS (with the NT 4G63), with a 6-bolt turbo swap, 1G ECU and harness and a 2G GSX drivetrain swap.
