radio not working

Hey guys. Recently, i got a new pioneer head unit, and my radio does not work. However, i had the same problem on my stock head unit, so i'm assuming it is my antenna. What exactly do i need to fix and what would i need to buy?

when you say your radio doesn't work, do you mean you don't get any stations or the whole thing doesn't turn on?

sry, i should've elaborated....
my radio turns on but its all static...and recently, my antenna doesnt even go up anymore
so i donno what's up with my radio
