Deck working, but not radio

Hiya, Ive been working on my audio system lately since I had some better speakers laying around, but Ive noticed that the deck doesnt pick up any radio stations, the antenna plug is connected in. Not sure what else to check.

Try searching for am radio stations rather than fm stations of they dont really pick up then you more than likely have a bad antenna. People over look them as being a problem because its rare that they do go bad but when they do it suxs because you get no stations. If you can find just an atenna out of another car hook it up or you can go to some parts stores and they have a small test antenna get it and try it or just go ahead and buy a replacement.

Some radios have a tiny pigtail fuse in the memory power wire which if blown can cause this.

Should I go after an aftermarket antenna or a factory one if say the antenna is broken?

I had a similar problem with my stock unit. I tried working with the antenna wire and it seemed to help for a while, but over time the problem got worse. For a while I could only pick up radio stations if it was above 70 deg. outside. The best I can figure is that the tuner went bad. I replaced the stock unit with an aftermarket unit and the problem is fixed.
I may be time to replace that old unit.

Im using an aftermarket Pioneer DEH-3900MP or something along those lines. thats what I dont get. Id like to get the radio fixed before my nice trip to Six Flags, .
