Greetings my radiator fan won’t turn on in my 1996 eclipse gst. The ac fan turn on both when I press the bottom but radiator fan I have idle for 20-30Min temp normal won’t turn on the fan for cooling the engine. Here is the video

You have a very efficient cooling systems,
The driver side fan turns on only when the ac is on and when the car overheats so it helps to cool the car, if there is no overheated symptoms and ac is off, the driver fan will never turn on.

You have the heater at full blast, so just with the heater the car maintains the right temperature (it doesn’t rise up),

If you want the passenger fan to turn on, turn off the heater and rive up the engine and it will kick on.

Okay thanks for information. So the radiator fan will only turn on when the temperature gauge goes up above normal and one way to trigger is to rise the rpm with acceleration. Also my top radiator hose is hot kinda a tight should it be like that? I wanted to check if my radiator fan works while ac fan both work when I press the button

The radiator fan (passenger side) turns on around 215 F, the car without heating issues will run at 190, 210F, because the thermostat will open at 19”F, so at 200F the water recirculate (that’s why the top radiator hose gets hot), so if the climate is warm the heat will rise up and once it hits 215F, the fan kicks on.

If the weather is cold, you might not see the fan to turn on because the coldness of the wether keeps the radiator cold and the water will cool down by it self. If this is the case, and you want to check if the fan works, then five it up to produce heat and rise up the temperature and get the fan moving.

If you have an OBD2 reader, you can monitor the temp and see how hot it gets.

2g fans are ECU controlled except for the override of using the A/C, which kicks them both on.
A 1g uses a temp sensor in the radiator to ground the passenger fan and A/C button kicks the passenger fan on when the A/C button is pressed in and is "orange". When that button is pressed again, to "green" (max air), it kicks BOTH fans on.
Just wanted to throw that out there. With ECMLink, you 2g guys can set the fan to come on earlier with the fan settings in Link.
1g guys can do it to but you have to run the fan off of a completely different circuit to control it in Link.
