Quick stupid EGT gauge question

Hey, quick dumb question. i just got my egt gauge today and its still in the package and the needle is sitting on 16... its just bugging me that something may be wrong with it. all of the pictures ive seen of it on sites selling it the needle is at 0. so im just wondering if something is wrong? thanks

The gauge is elctric so it will shut off in weird places. When you hook it up and hit the key it should go to 0.

Yeah, I have the same gauge and it used to shut off at 2, but recently it switched to shutting off at 10. As long as it's reading correctly, I would worry about it. But to be on the safe side, hook it all up before you run everything the firewall and test it before it's mounted in place.
