EGT Gauge Question

Well was going threw the boxes of what my car came with.I have a autometer phantom egt gauge. Ive been doing some searches and they have came up with saying it wont do anything but go off the gauge. Saying it doesnt read right. So is it not right? if not im going to be getting a greddy to match the boost gauge it came with. Whats everyone thoughts on it.

EGT does serve a purpose unlike a A/F gauge which just reads rich & lean back and forth till you get a wideband.

If you plan to install it make sure to have the wiring and the egt probe. Otherwise it won't work. Also you gona have to drill a hole on the manifold to tap the egt probe.

yeah i knew all that my question was it read 0 to 16 ive heard i need the greddy or it will go over 16 on the autometer is that true i already have the probe drilled and tapped on the number 2 runner

okay well then by seeing that I ether need to get the greddy or order the gauge that goes to 20 because its going to be on the manifold in the number 2 runner
