egt gauge ?

I have a prosport egt gauge, at an idle it usually reads between 1200 and 1400 degrees f. well today on the ride home from work i noticed the needle at 2200 at a red light. as soon as i accelerate it goes down to 1200 but between gears it jumps back up. could it be the wiring or the probe. I searched the forums and thats all I got.

Your EGT should idle at about 800. EGT's can read high for two reasons, really lean or really rich. In your case, I suspect you're running pig rich at idle because of FPR overrun and you're running pig rich during shifting because your BOV is not recirculated.
