egt gauge

hey where do i install the egt gauge if i dont have the stock type exhaust manifold, i have the tubular type.
so far i have a boost gauge, oil pressure, and aem wideband, would the egt guage be a good choice for my 4rth gauge.

you can still tap the mani on the #1 runner. or and this is what i would do if i could do it over just put it in the downpipe.

would i get better readings doing it from the downpipe

this is argued by tuners everywhere. some people say that if you tap the hottest runner then if it is good the motor is good. others say that it don't matter and the dp is fine.

i think it is not worth the trouble to tap the mani. i have seen my head after i tapped it.(i took it off and cleaned it too) and i still got stuff in my motor. tap the downpipe you will be good.

Temperture sensors mounted after the turbine won't feed their guts through the blades when they fail. And it will fail.

you have seen this? i know a guy that has had his probe in for like 3 years and still no problem.
