I just picked up a 1G TB for my 2g. What I noticed on this one is that it has about 1-2" of built in pipe where the 2G elbow would normally mate up. Do I have the wrong 1G TB year? It has all the same vacuum/hose connections, and TPS. Just the 2" of pipe before would be a bit difficult to cut off.

nope, that's the appropriate year TB, just that its NONTURBO. I'm on the same boat as you and have decided to just suck it up and buy a 1g turbo TB.

if you really want to use it, you'll have to custom fab [ or do something ] to make it fit to the UICP. i.e., use a silicon coupler.

If I buy longer bolts and make a custom elbow/piping, other then that it would work the same?

thats the main reason why the nonturbo TB is nondesirable [ gee, guess how i found out too  ]. you have to custom fab a way to connect your pipes with the outlet "lip".

p.s., you need shorter bolts ;) maybe 60mm

edit* yes, it will work the same as a turbo TB
