Quick Boost Gauge Question..

I have a Greddy boost gauge, and it works fine and all, but when I turn the car off the needle moves to the maxed out position (slightly past 2.0 kg/cm). It stays there even after I turn the car on, and will not start moving until I hit boost pretty decently hard. (~8 PSI will normally get it to start). It then jumps to whatever boost I'm at, and once I let off the throttle it starts to read normal. Is this normal for Greddy gauges? I have the vac line T'ed into the line that goes to the one fuel pressure solenoid I believe.

Are you sure your vac line isn't pinched or leaking somewhere?

Pretty sure it isn't, I checked the whole thing. It reads fine after I hit boost the first time though, thats the strange thing..

it might just be a faulty gauge. just because its new doesn't mean it will work like its suppose to.

Take a pic of where the tee is on what you believe is the FPR.

Its not going to the FPR line, but the solenoid that leads to the FPR on the firewall. Heres a pic.
