quick boost gauge question

I just installed a boost gauge today. Wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. Now, my question is, when I turn the car on, the vac goes to 20. then when I drive, the boost goes to 10...which is right...but when i shift, instead of the gauge going back to 0, it goes to vac 30. is this right. I always thought that it went from 0 to 10...but i might be wrong.

that's fine. Mine does that, it's just pulling vac.

just drive and coast in a gear with 0% throttle. you'll see taht it goes into vacuum everytime.

1.) Look into what vacuum and boost are.

2.) We've done this. Lots and lots of times. Please refer to an earlier post about it.
