I tried searching for an answer to this but had no luck. If it has been discussed in the past and I missed it I apologize in advance.

Here is my question. Current the only O2 sensor that I have in my car is the one that came with my Innovate LC-1. I am not running a stock O2 sensor. What I am wondering is if I wire in the O2 sensor from the LC-1 into the factory harness can I get by without have to buy a factory O2 sensor and having to have it welded in. Or will I still need to get one.

The reason I am asking this is because we just rebuilt the engine and installed it. I am trying to get the car to start but it won't start unless the pedal is floored. Even when it does start is runs horrible. My friend thinks that it is because the ECU is looking for an O2 sensor that is not there and is causing the car to go into a lymph mode. The reason I am skeptical is because before the rebuild the car would start without any O2 sensor. This was also before I had DSMLink V3 installed as well.

Mine does start with the pedal floored, but it doesn't stay running. Could this be cause by not having the O2 sensor hook into the factory harness?
 
what I'm wondering is the o2 sensor you have in now .. is it bank 1 or 2 ... because if y our o2 housing just has a gaping hole where the other o2 sensor should be I imagine that would cause issues

You need to tell the ECU that your running the wideband to the stock o2 input.

There is only one O2 bung in my entire exhaust. We made a custom exhaust piece to connect turbo outlet to the downpipe and welded a dump pipe from the wastegate into it so that it would recirculate instead of being an open dump. The O2 sensor for the wideband is about 20" away from the turbo outlet as recommended by Innovate.

I haven't done this yet. I still need to hook the wideband into the stock output. Thanks for the link. I will give this a shot when I hook everything up.

He has a 1g so only 1 o2 sensor.

Wire it into your front o2 sensor (pin #4 on the ECU, white wire) and make sure you assign the pin in v3.

Post a log like MY1GDSM said. It makes it so much easier for us to see what you have and all your settings.
 
Sounds like your TPS is either shot or misadjusted. A 1g I know for a fact will run without an O2 sensor, if the ecu doesnt sense it, it will just make your car run rich to protect itself. When I fiddled with my TPS and moved it just slightly (maybe 1 or 2 mm) it ran horrible and had a hard time starting.

So long story short check your throttle position sensor.
