02 sensors

is there a difference between a 1g 02 sensor and a 2g 02 sensor. reason I ask is becaue I got an 02 sensor off a 13b turbo not sure what year those are for. It plugs into my 99 eclipse gst spyder harness plug.

You should be fine.
13b's were on 2g automatics.

All turbo 2g's came with t-25's. The 13g's came on 1g automatics.

I'm pretty sure the plug is different? One came installed on a spare 1G housing that came with my car (don't understand why) and the plug for it is a rounded square, while the one on the car is smaller and circular.

Or maybe someone just did something really stupid with mine and decided it should be my problem instead of his. But it is to be noted that the 1G, 2G front, and 2G rear sensors all have different listings from vendors.

It plugs into my 2g engine harness because it's plugged in as we speak. I'm more worried about it sending the wrong readdings back to the ecu or something. Just trying to narrow down why my car idles like crap and a small small small amount of black smoke comes out when I rev the car
