Question about the idle screw on my 97 gsx.

im wondering how should i adjust my idle by turning the screw?

what should my rpms be at when the car is warmed up and i have it in park and where should it be at when i throw it in drive?

how do i know im turning the screw the right way or not? should i go right or left?

also im missing the cap that goes on top of that screw can that be causin air to come out or say the screw is bad?
