question about injector...is it useable?

So I was going to buy a used set of blue tops off of a friend for $30. 3 of them look fine, but I noticed something about the 4th. The black plastic "cap" thing on the bottom (not sure what the actual name for it is) is gone......I'm assuming that this is a problem, right? I was going to buy them and then turn around and make some $ by selling them again, but I don't know many people that want to buy 3 when they need 4 working ones. Thanks.

The black cap is called a plinth cap and it is not uncommon for them to come apart. I found a guy in town that did injectors and purchased one for $.35. It just pushes on with a little force, use some lube. Be very careful not to bend the tip that sticks out from the injector.

It may be very difficult for you to get this cap unless you have someone close.

we run these injectors all the time on turbo hondas and half of the time they are missing the pintle caps and there never seems to be a problem with it.
