I just bought the head from a member on here an this is what i found when I started pulling the cam shafts out. I don't care about the camshaft I was wanting to build the head full out. I'm wondering if the head is usable tho.

What was your Paypal address? I will get you a refund asap if that thing is trashed that bad. I never even looked at it that close I just assumed it would need to be rebuilt and I had a spare 2g head good to go.

Yeah you can see gouges in the metal. But thats what I get for not checking over/paying attention to something before I ship it out.

I figured that's about right I've never seen a cam screw up one of the tunels like that so I thought I'd ask first before going to the guy an sayin something that might not of been right. But this is as clean as they will get,

I wish I could help ya', but all I have is a 1G head that needs an overhaul. Tanro seems like a pretty good guy to deal with. He is helping me out with a block.

Your motor is a 2G 4G63 or 420a? If its a 4G63, I've heard people will put the 1G heads on 'em because of the larger ports. True?

you got it backwards. 2g have the angled valve ports. the 1g are bigger but the 2g's flow better. i think i read for like any 16g or turbos around there. if you put a 1g with a stock or 16g turbo etc., it doesnt do much. but bigger turbo, the 1g's flow more.

I would say it is still usable, but not for a head on a dsm. Maybe a anchor for a small boat?
