push starting a gsx

would push starting an all whee drive be bad for it. could someone tell me how do it right it would be kool if i do know how. thanks in advance

as much as i know its not bad for it, just get it rolling down a hill put it in second and let the clutch out slow.

Yea I dont see how the car rolling could be bad for it, cause what about when your driving and press the clutch in - isn't it the same condition? Man lots of push starting threads today, right clownface !

had to do that 3 times today installed a messed up battery that couldnt hold charge.

I know i drive a fwd, but wouldn't that cause some damage to the VC by pushing it without the car running?? Could be wrong but i figured i'd bring it up just in case.

The reason it would not cause any damage is because ALL FOUR TIRES are rotating the same...the only way you could possibly damage the VC is if only 2 wheels were moving and the other 2 were stationary.
