Whatever you decide to get I would strongly suggest an inline oil filter in your oil supply line to the turbo. Most of the mods I left in my quote introduce contaminants to your oiling system.

It may already have one, but I'm not sure

Does FP rebuild GT-32's?

if you can afford to i would recommend you look into some other options. We tested a couple different GT32s a while back and really weren't impressed. look into a 50trim or something.

also, ripper is 100% correct. fresh motors like that create crap that can kill a turbo so break in with a junker or this turbo until you are ready for a rebuild or something new.

best of luck to you bud.

The last PTE GT32 and PTE GT37 turbos I was hired to rebuild had custom machined back plates on them that allow you to use a smaller TO4B cover for block clearence. These custom seal plates are proprietary, I assume they are made by PTE on a CNC mill. So, if your turbo needs a new one, I do not carry them. I could try to buy one from PTE but not sure if they would just sell it to me. Judging by your post it is likley that the seal plate in your turbo is damaged, so it could be an issue.

Thanks so much everybody.

Maybe I'll trade the blown GT-32 for a new MHI EVO III 16g... and then later on go with a 50 trim setup.

What else would I need to switch over to a 50 trim? I'm assuming I'll need much more than just the turbo?

Thanks

you need to update your vehicle profile so we can see what mods you have. Chances are if you were running the 32 then you should have what you need for a 50. what do you have for fuel/exhaust/intercooler?

sorry, i'm still not completely awake. hahaha.

anyway, it looks like you have everything you need to take full advantage of a 50trim. Hell with you setup you might consider a 60trim or a S256. Either of those will kick a little more than the 50 and still spool nice.

Would a dipstick popping and high(er) than stock oil pressure be abnormal or have anything to do with this blown turbo?

the journal bearings tend to have a most resilient bearing to oil pressure so i doubt that is the case. You can send it to PTE and they can tell you what's up and give you options from there so you might not even have to purchase a whole new turbocharger.

Alright thanks for everything

I'm considering just trading it as-is for a like new MHI EVOIII 16g, then when I get bored of the power, upgrade to a 50 or 60 trim. :D
