PTE 5031 RLE Dual BB W/Bullseye Housing?

Yea wastegate off the #1 runner isn't smart. It needs to be off the collector or of the o2 housing. Who are you ordering the turbo from? It's hard to believe they don't have any turbine housings set up for ext. gate off the o2 housing because it's just the internal gate style without the flapper. Maybe check around a few places and see.

ImportEvolution. The right housings are out just about everywhere, I've checked AMS, SBR, DejonTool, ExtremePSI, DSMParts and others.

They are on back order from PTE until JUNE!!

back-order does suck...but I would just hold out and do it right the first time. I mean unless you were willing to buy or fabricate a manifold with a gate off the collector. Hell if you had the money you could buy a t3 manifold, buy the 50-trim with a t3 turbine housing, and a new o2 housing. You'd have one rockin set-up.

I would just hold out on it. I wouldn't break down and just put the gate on the #1 runner. I've gone through so many different set-ups it's crazy. When if i would have just planned it out i could be rockin a nice 3065 by now with all the money i've spent.

You have an AWD, I'd stick with an FP Green or PTE's turbo with their housing.

If the 5031 is what you want then wait cause the bullseye housing has a different A/R ratio. PTE is .63 Bullseye is .55

You can't compare A/R ratios of one housing to another because it is like comparing apples to oranges. Just because one is 0.63 doesn't mean it is better flowing than a 0.55 A/R.

I called up Punishment racing, and they said they could take my stock 2G manifold, port it and mount the WG on the collector. Then recirculate it just like the link I gave in post #25.

I think that should work and will probably end up saving me a little money.

That would be a good deal then. Punishment looks to be doing some great work and I'd be interested in seeing the final product. What's your reason for wanting it re-routed? To loud? Emissions?

you know what they say. "if it's too loud, your too old"

Ha just messin around with you. I can understand wanting re-routed. I was once that way. Then the ext. dump just grew on me and I love it now. Mainly because I sold my car with the screaming BB 50-trim on it :sosad: and now i have this quiet little thing on there that barely makes any noise

^ Yeah, I wouldn't like that sound personally.

I'm now getting people on Link forums telling me not to do it on the stock manifold bc, one it will fall off, and two to do it, it must be done on top where the collectors are. That will interupt flow and keep the turbo from spooling properly. So I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do now. Every which way I turn, I'm screwed..

Why dont you just get the punishment o2 housing. 220- thats not bad for a recirculated housing with a liftime warranty. And i have a bullseye s200 and its more of a high boost turbo then a pte 50-trim.

^ Actually, I have that O2 housing sitting in my garage, as that was my original plan. Prob is, PTE has the correct housings (for use with a external WG on O2 Housing) on back order until June. So it's either wait, get another turbo, or get it on the manifold. I may have to wait.

:(

You are making it more complicated that it is. You can get an internal gate housing, take the internal gate out, and (if you want) send it to have it ported for use to make the hole bigger for use with an external WG on the o2 housing.

All you have to do is take this...

and make it look like this...

Oldman has a thread around here somewhere showing how to port a turbo. The main part is porting the wall above the wastegate hole entrance. You want it to be less of an extreme angle then it is. More smooth entrance then just one 90 bend.

What ^^^ said.

Here is a picture of a FP Green ported for an o2 housing external gate. (See attached pic)

"Now it's time to hog the heck out of the hole where the flapper used to be. Give this as much volume as you dare, so you can avoid boost creep later on. See the figures for my porting (please, be gentle), and for a friend's FP Green that I got a look at. The only thing that I particularly noticed is that FP's portwork seemed to really direct the airflow to the wastegate portion - gave it a nice straight path to take, rather than a sharp corner to turn. If you haven't done much porting, or don't have somebody that knows their stuff to help you out, it might be worthwhile to send your t-housing off to FP or somebody and have it ported. "

Little update:
He's taking a housing that he had in stock (slightly used, and used for only 2 weeks) and sending it to PTE to get the hole for the WG (on the O2) bored out and ported. He's gonna knock $25 off since the housing is slightly used, but it has no moving parts so it should be good.

Thank you guys for the help, I wish I had known I could do this about 3 weeks ago. None the less, I'm a happy camper now. :)

Shane2GSX, sounds awesome man.

If you dont mind, when I start my 50 trim set up, I may have to PM you for some questions down the road LOL. I think you helped me with the Megan Exhaust a while back.
