Most the weight savings will come from replacing the stock heavy parts with either custom/purchased lightweight parts. The cage is chromoly as will be the tubular front end.Curious to see how light you can get her with a cage in it. I take it the cage is Molly?
PM me, I would love some ideas on the wire tuck. For our track here in Utah they just switched to NHRA so I will be doing everything to NHRA specs. One day I'll get this thing street legal or at least registered/insured.I love what you are doing. I'm mind boggled by seeing someone do the exact thing that I am doing, the differences are minute but I started 6 months ago. I'm definitely subscribing because your goal is also my goal. I post my build on facebook because Its easier to post pictures.
If you are doing a full wire delete & tuck we can get together so we can exchange knowledge on it. I have done the engine bay so far and doing the dash/cabin harness. so far I have removed 2 big trash bags of wires. Main difference between us Is mine will be street legal so all I need to keep is lights, flashers and horn.
Thanks! I will be putting on the front/rear bumper & fenders next weekend so hopefully it starts to look like a car again.LOVEEEE the paint
Looks awesome!
