ok , so yesterday i decided to do the free mod for the MAF.

so i removed the silencer , and removed the lower honeycomb, i thought it would be ok to take it out beacuse their are no wires or sensors attached to it. bad mistake.

and removed the outer shield and cut it up, so i could still stick the filter in , and use the mounting points.

i also removed the exhaust from the cat back , not including the cat......

*****

i also removed the dump tube from the BOV. another bad mistake, but hey i just wanted to hear how it would sound...

so i drove it. pulled timing or fuel at about 3500-4000 when i got on it. so i plugged the hose back up and it stopped.

then i noticed i drove 50 miles that night , when i should have got about 75-100 out of it before the gas light hit. so when i got to my destination , i reset the ECU but still the same problems......

anyone else ran into this before ? and how did you fix it ?

that all goes with hacking the maf, it might be free but since when did you ever get anything for free that didnt suck

HAHA ,

well tru kinda.

ill be dammed if im gonna get 8mpg

so ill see if i can find my honey comb...

nope its gone, but im getting an afc next week anyways....

OK , ITS FIXED ! ! ! !

i adjusted the idle air screw , and it ran like a dream and it seemed to spool alot faster.

and the idle was waaay smoother.
