Problem with 7bolt to 6bolt 1g eclipse ?

Hello i have problem with my 1g eclipse 2.0 4g63 FWD non turbo 1993 crank was busted and i bought new engine in scrap yard i have 7 bolt and get 6bolt engine and i dont have flywheel and i dont know dimensions and i cant find flywheel ? can some one help dimensions and i have searching and find 7 bolt 1g starter and gearbox is different is this right i am so frustrated i dont want scrap my cars i have talon to with tuning spoilers kits.

Just buy a 6 bolt fwd non turbo flywheel. Dimensions arent needed if that is specified. Build date prior to april 1992 if somebody asks.

OK i think i can get flywheel in my city scrap yard but flywheel i measure size is 26.7 cm whit measuring tape but my 7 bolt fly wheel is 27.7 cm so starter dont reach i am thinking its over 1 cm its big difference ? Please help if some one knows to i need gearbox to.???? That i dont find in my scrap yard ?????

Flywheels will be same size. Whatever you found it isnt the right one.

Ok good to know all fwd flywheels are same dimension in size then 27.7 cm then in must search more hard find the 6bolt flywheel in my country. To some one knows flywheel factory code ore something ?

What transmission do you have? What's the serial code on it? For reference, have a look at: 1g 6 BOLT G4CP SWAP (had a 7bolt 4g63) starter bandix not engaging flywheel (too small)

The code on gearbox is kfsm312zpxvqt7427 is this right code ore i look diffrend spot on gearbox.

That's what I wanted to know. Note that the "S" is actually a "5" and then refer to the post I linked to last time. The code I was looking for is "F5M31-2-ZPXV". You will note all the OEM part numbers listed in that thread already. Based on the combination of part numbers, it would appear that the flywheel is a non-stepped unit like the USDM 1G non-turbo 4G63 DSMs but with the same overall diameter of the FWD turbo flywheels.

My best suggestion is to use that part number (MD131802) for the flywheel to either cross-reference with an aftermarket manufacturer or buy another one from an OEM parts supplier.

Are you sure thats not f5m21 not 31? I cant speak for edm cars but that trans code sounds like its for a 1.8. Is there a vin stamp on the trans and does it match the car?
I didnt say all fwd. I didnt look it up but certainly all 2.0 fwd...yes same size. Didnt matter if it was 6bolt or 7 bolt. If you have a 1.8 flywheel it may be different than 2.0 and the backing plate would be different also. Im almost sure of it. Dont have parts software right this second so I cant check. I would verify that trans.

It will be the same size as the 7-bolt FWD turbo or 2G Spyder flywheel. Again, I'll refer you to the information provided in the thread I linked to already.

...the correct pieces for your car / transmission (ONLY FOR F5M31-2-ZPXV) verified by Europe's ASA program are:

Clutch Disk (215mm diameter) - MD771458
Pressure Plate - MD735732
6-bolt Flywheel - MD131802​

The ring gear is meant to have 110 teeth. The clutch disk is the same as the USDM '96+ Mirage. The pressure plate is the same as the USDM 1G 2.0L non-turbo cars.

Sorry i asket this again because i give this fly wheel codes to my country Japan car parts dealer and he told me tht he dont have this part and cant order it ? I was thinking mybe i can fit scrap yard flywheel some how in my car because crank and polt size are same but fly wheel dimension is 0,40 inches smaler ? I dont gnow wht to too

Really have two reasonable options at this point:

1. Hunt through junkyards for a flywheel you can use, as you suggested trying
2. Try to fit a larger Bendix gear into your starter, as was done here: AWD Starter on FWD tranny w/ AWD FW

Ultimately up to you.
