Well this is an on/off thing, It just randomly happens but now it wont go away. It feels like there is something in the way when i try to shift into second. I have to go over to the right a bit to get it in. When i do its real stiff. Its only in second. Any suggestions?

What would you recommend for fluid? Could it be shifter linkage? Thanks for the reply's!

you can check the cables up under the hood and inside the car pull lightly and feel for play, change the fluid, could be syncros starting to go bad, mine did that then the syncros were completely shot. so change the fluid and check the cables. Also check the bushings in the shifter that could be the problem too.

it could be shifter linkage but you would feel a little bit of 'notchiness' in more than just 2nd, a syncho could be going out...

the fluid you should use is always up for debate, alot of people say BG syncromesh, some people say otherwise... anyway heres a link to one of those discussions

Transmission Fluid

I know it's not your exact problem, but my reverse gear would grind and it was just a challenge to get into gears. I used my own special blend of tranny fluid. I used 2/3 Redline (MT90 I believe) and the other 1/3 Syncromesh. Now I don't grind in any gears, and it shifts like a dream. Maybe not a permanent solution, but it's worth checking out.
