OK, I need a decent tire that gets pretty good tread life. I autocross about once a month on street tires. I've had Falken Azenis and Kumho Ecsta MXs, and have been happy with both except for the treadlife. I really enjoy autocross, but I'm not serious enough about it to get tires that have such a short treadlife anymore. So I'm looking for something that will still be pretty sticky but last me a little longer. Maybe around a 300 treadwear rating? Something in the same price range as the formerly mentioned tires. Suggestions?

I use Toyo proxes T1-S tires, they grip really good wet or dry, and good tread life. I would search online for tire reviews they should tell you what you want to know about each tire.

I just got a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s. 300 treadwear (that or it was the BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW-2... the other was a 280), and after being broken in for a little while, they corner like a dream. They're starting to develop a smooth breakaway pattern, with a very audible response that lets you know exactly how close they are to letting go, and by how much. The GSX will start to fall off-line, but the tires allow for easy recovery, or a very predictable slide if you have the road-space to eat.

^^^ I have the same tires. They were on my nt for awhile. Now I put them on my awd. Have not had a chance yet though to test out how well they work. Waiting till I get my suspension completed. Hopefully my car will be great.

I loved them on the nt. Only one time did I ever brake traction with those tires and only becuase i locked my front brakes up when someone changed lanes and ran into me. They make some road noise but nothing the radio cant fix. They felt almost as good in the wet as they did in the dry.
