well motor mounts are on my list but it's starting to get really nice and I'm about to put my summer rims back on and the tires on them now are 205/40/17 which are tiny. So I was looking for goodtires for grip on the front and somedecent tires on the back.

If you want the best grip for a "streetable" tire, the BFG's DR's would be a perfect fit for your 17" rims (available in a 225/45/17 size). You won't get a tonn of milage from these & you'll have to be careful in the rain (especially when they start wearing down), but they will give you amazing grip.

If you want a regular street tire, lots of good choices, as mentioned above or their are some other more expensive tires that are also great.
