power steering tensioner delete?

Thinking about deleting that "imo" cheap/shitty tensioner that won't stop chirping. Anyone do this and have advice/input?

The power steering pump has adjustments to get that tension from my understanding

Sure enough, there is room for adjustments there. Personally would still do something similar to how alternator belt is tightened (via a long threaded bolt basically) instead of trying to pry on the pump and tighten the bolts at same time. That way it can be adjusted more precisely.

I did this a year or so ago, just remove it and wrap a string around the pulleys to get your belt size or look it up on 2gnt. I did have to bend something on the PS pump to allow the pump more adjustability.
